7 Days Exploring Carmen & Danzante Islands

Enjoy Baja sea kayaking and standup paddleboarding, in the pristine Bay of Loreto National Marine Park in the Sea of Cortez.  It is a designated United Nations World Heritage Site.   The vistas on Carmen and Danzante Islands are rugged and dramatic. Each remote campsite will become a home that you will be sorry to leave until you land at the next one.

When you look out to sea from your campsite you can see pods of commuting dolphins; frigate birds, osprey, pelicans and boobies diving in feeding frenzies and Manta rays leaping high into the air and doing back flips. You are always welcome jump into a kayak or a paddleboard and see how close you can get to the action.

When you put on your snorkel a whole new world unfolds beneath the surface with over 800 species of fish and other marine life of every size and shape right before your eyes.

Our Baja trip leaders are full time guides at our base in Sausalito California, teaching all levels of kayaking. Every season they cannot wait to be back to their second home and reconnect with their friends and fellow local guides Jose Cruz and Juve Orzoco. You will feel the family spirit that infuses every Sea Trek trip.
