For those pursuing a career in paddle sports.
Jun 1, 2024 - Jun 3, 2024
About
We’re excited you’re motivated to advance your SUP skills, and interested in becoming an American Canoe Association SUP Instructor or stepping up your leadership and teaching skills? In this ACA SUP Level 2 course we’ll dive into L1-2 conditions, techniques, and maneuvers all while learning and testing new pedagogical approaches both on and off the water.
We will hone our teaching skills in conditions indicated by each of the levels. Level 1 requires basic paddling experience and Level 2 requires a significant amount of technical skills and teaching skills. Most folks who have paddled for one year consistently or more have a good chance of passing level 1; however, most folks take level 2 twice (once to learn as IDW and once to pass as ICE).
This three day course is taught at Sea Trek’s Alameda location and is facilitated by Mike Wang (L3 Coastal and Surf Instructor Trainer).
