Improve your paddling skills with a Kayak Class
Want to gain the necessary skill and experience to pilot a kayak or stand up paddleboard by yourself? Sea Trek offers several types of classes for kayakers catering to a variety of skill levels. We have excellent instructors who get plenty of one-on-one time with each student, and we have lots of different types of kayaks for you to try and use.

Level 1 - No Experience Necessary, first timers welcome!
These classes are designed for people with all experience levels looking to improve their skills and to build a good base level of knowledge.
Level 2 - Introductory to Kayaking Class Required
These classes are designed for people looking to expand their paddling skills and to see new areas around San Francisco Bay. Check individual classes for specific prerequisites.
Level 3 - Intermediate and or Advanced Class Required
These classes will take you into more dynamic conditions and help you build confidence on the water. Check individual classes for specific prerequisites.

Sit-on-top kayaks are an easy way to get on the water and enjoy a paddling adventure. In this class we’ll practice all the basic strokes, review safety concerns, tides/currents and weather. Short kayak tour included.
Introductory Surfski Class

Surfskis are high performance sit-on-top kayaks designed for speed on open water, most commonly the ocean, although also well-suited to all bodies of water and recreational paddling. In this class we’ll practice all the basic strokes, review safety concerns, tides/currents and weather. Short kayak tour included.

We use traditional sit-inside sea kayaks with sprayskirts. This class is required for anyone wanting to rent a sit-inside kayak.
